Larry (Joe) Bourque Larry (Joe) Bourque, age 46, of 2508 Baxter Austin died Tuesday, December 4, 1984 in Austin. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 7, 1984, at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Lufkin, with Reverend Eduardo Navares, celebrant. Rosary was recited at 7:00 PM, Thursday at the Glpson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin. He was born in Eunice, Louisiana, a former resident of In Austin since 1981.

He was the Assistant Director, Underground Injection Control for the Railroad Commission of Texas, Oil and Gas Division, since 1981. He served as administrative assistant to Buddy Temple, was a teacher and coach at Alto High School, was a graduate of Diboll High School and Steven F. Austin University. He received a Political Science degree from SFA. He also served as a reserve deputy for the Angelina County Sher-rif Office.

He served in the U.S. Navy for six years, and was a member of St Patrick's Catholic Church. Survivors Include his mother and stepfather, Mrs. Lizzie Bourque, and Elric Darbonne of Eunice, Louisiana; three sisters, Mrs. Gloria Fontenot and Mrs.

Brenda Loken, both of Lufkin, Mrs. Dean Bristow of Houston; five nieces; one nephew; three great-nieces; three great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a niece, Deborah Fontenot Davenport in July of 1984. Pallbearers include Claude Welch, Judge David Cook, Buddy Temple, Leonard Latham, Sgt. Dale Nicholson, John Hanna, and Walter Kirby.
