Upscale suites in a high-end beachfront resort offering a spa, water sports & complimentary meals.

As many of you, we were nervous before staying due to the reviews. However, we had the time of our lives. We stayed December 30 - January 2, and every day we had a blast. Our room was cleaned daily, Mini bar repeatedly stocked, and attentive service from our butler. We were Diamond Club guests and enjoyed the few extra amenities that were provided. Our butler Franz was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He also decorated our room nicely, as I was celebrating a birthday. The nightly events were fun, especially NYE. The Martini bar stays open til 12 and the sports bar stays open til 2, which gives you time to hang out as much as you can.Spa was beautiful, but the massages were mediocre. If you want to do water sports, there are many companies on the beach who will take you on excursions, and bring you back to the beachfront of the hotel.Lastly, Covid testing was smooth overall. Granted it was hot, moderately long line to be tested, but we were also there on a busy weekend. We got our negative test results by email in 6 hours before our flight the next day.

It was supposed to be my 11year anniversary vow renewal (10year but we could not last year due to Covid). The nightmare began once we got on our SHARED shuttle. To keep it concise, I cried the whole weekend. Our AC didn't work, it took me 5hrs to get a different room only after I exploded. Apparently there "wasn't a record" that I reported my air didn't work. I never received my champagne for my wedding photo. It came AFTER the ceremony. I was supposed to receive breakfast in bed the day after the wedding, I never received it so I had to to eat at the buffet. There was no special welcome, nothing on my door. Our sheets were dirty, our room was only cleaned once during our 5night stay. The power kept going off at random, it was a mess. The hotel "investigates" and finds no records of my complaints. Of course they didn't! Had the nerves to offer a voucher for my stay. You couldn't pay me to stay there. Save your money and go somewhere else.WORST SERVICE I HAVE RECEIVED IN MY LIFE. Waste of my $15K for my vow renewal. I asked for a partial refund for my distress, my email has been ignored. Go somewhere else.Pro: Food was great. We wanted to eat at the steakhouse but apparently they aren't open on Sundays. Makes no sense. I had to have my reception dinner at the buffet.

Spent my 4 day birthday vacation here, and it was so good. I loved my swim up room and spent almost every day in the pool. The room was immaculate, and the service from the staff was on point. It rained, but that's not the resorts fault. But even with the rain, the fun went on. I tried the paddle board, very happy I didn't fall off, and I also tried kayak, and one of the staff went out with me and gave me a tour. I really enjoyed that.I must say I'll do it again, maybe for longer this time.

My husband and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary at this resort with the diamond club privileges, and it was outstanding! O’Neil was really helpful in making our stay amazing. I loved the rooms, but I wouldn’t get a swim out room again since I only got in the pool twice. Water was very cold. However, the food and drinks were good and we did ATV riding and bamboo rafting for our excursions. I would definitely recommend this resort 10/10

Had an amazing time here at "The Hideaway Royalton." Rooms are really nice. Housekeeping comes every day to clean your room, which is a plus. Other things that made my trip perfect were the vibe team, and they most definitely turned up, and that was pretty cool, especially with the drinks flowing. Something i had an issue with was the food for some reason every time I ordered a steak it didn't come out right it was very much alive and i eat my steaks medium and it was like they took the steak and cooked it a couple of minutes on each side put sauce on it and gave it to you as is, it was really bad considering its all inclusive and we paid for dinner on the beach and the food was not good. The experience was beautiful, and the setup was nice, but the food was not, so dont waste your time or money. But besides that, everything was great, I would most definitely go back.

You cannot see the sunset from this resort in January. The food is good, plenty of selections for liquor. We had a wonderful time.Be ready to tip if you need anything brought to your room. We called five times to get more than the two beers to be stocked. We had to pay the pool guy to get us a six pack. Our bed was comfortable and the room is nice.

Fourth time in Jamaica, easily the worst resort aside from the first time, but that place was cheap so expected. One important thing to note is we did not stay in the Diamond Club because there weren't any rooms left. I don't know if they are better, but here is my honest review for the basic room. I've loved every other trip I've taken to Jamaica which is why I keep coming back. I'll try to hit it all.1. The room - safe was broken (thankfully they fixed this right away), closet was stuck shut, curtains didn't close all the way, we had to figure out how to hold the handle to on the toilet to get it to flush correctly, and one of the coffee mugs was cracked all the way down the side. Two days we did not get our fridge restocked and had to call. Overall the room felt dingy and damp.2. Service - hit or miss. Some people were really great. Others seemed like they hated their lives. My daughter was a fan of Nixon at the swim up bar because he would serve her right away. A lot of them ignore kids which kind of stinks because a) we tipped them and b) part of the fun is kids can order stuff themselves. The bartender in the lobby bar (I didn't get her name) was really great too.3. Restaurants - 2 nights we had to go to the buffet because they couldn't seat us despite arriving shortly after they opened. The nights we did get to eat they removed signs from 2 out of 3 of the tables that said "Reserved for Diamond Club" so technically we probably shouldn't have been seated. The worst experience - the last morning we were there the buffet WAS CLOSED for a private party so our only option was to eat pastries and yogurt from the coffee shop. I don't understand how you can close a restaurant and your other option is a tiny coffee shop for a huge resort. Super odd. I will say the service in all of the restaurants was great. The food was good except the Sports Bar. We ate at the Steakhouse, Italian place, and Calypso. They were all good.4. The beach and pool are nice. Be prepared on the beach for people to try to sell you stuff. We were there on a crowded week so if you don't claim a seat at the pool early, you aren't getting one. We just ended up on the beach everyday because I'm not getting up at 7am to claim a spot.5. My kids liked the kids club. We sent them there a few mornings for about an hour so we could hit the gym and they had fun. You do need their passport to register them the first time so bring that along.6. The entertainment at night was ok. Nothing spectacular, but the vibe team is good and they do a great job during the day at the pool. My kids really liked the foam party they had in the kids pool the one day.7. We did one excursion, not through the resort, that I highly recommend. It's a snorkeling trip then they take you to an island (Booby Cay) where you can get fresh lobster, fish or crab at an additional cost. It's pricey, but totally worth it.8. The trip to the resort from the airport can be really long (1.5 hours or more). Given all of the above the drive wasn't worth it.Overall we did have fun. I'm just glad this wasn't my first Jamaica experience because I don't know if I'd feel the need to keep coming back if it was. My advice is find a better resort because Jamaica is normally a great place to visit.

Just left this place where we had a good stay overall. Our room was perfect and actually better than expected due to the fact we got a very good sea view. Almost of the staff were pleasant and would say hi when just walking by. The beach was good and the grounds very well kept. Whilst we were sat at the beach a young lady asked if would like to participate in a short survey to which we agreed. This showed that this establishment are working to improve the customer experience. If there was any issues to report it would be related to the food. We mainly ate at the buffet where some of the food was a little bland and often just warm. We also ate at the calypso restaurant where the food was ok but also a little cold which was rather disappointing given it should have been cooked to order.

I have been to several all inclusive resorts and was never disappointed until my stay here. The buffet food is good on certain nights. All the liquor is watered down. We only had our room cleaned once during our room stay in fear of having something stolen. That was our choice. However, we asked for clean wash cloths 2 different occasions only to be told they didn’t have anymore. The resort itself is beautiful at first glance but if you look in detail, it needs a lot of remodeling and just touch up work all together. I do understand, this is an island and there are different insects around but I don’t expect them in my room….. EVER. If it’s possible at other resorts it’s possible here. My brothers friend was planning his birthday here and I just wouldn’t recommend it.

Anyeta Strickland — Google review

Sad that I must say do not stay here. I believe every bad review because my experience was consistent. No one is in charge anywhere on the resort. It literally feels like it’s being run by the staff who are mostly nice, but you can’t run a resort without leadership. They ran out of beach towels EVERYDAY before 11am. They ran out of wash cloths and hand towels so they were never replenished over 4-days. The drinks aren’t good but they will make what you ask for. The decorative pillows on the bed smell like they were washed and left in the machine for days. We went to the spa and the workers allowed some young couples to use the hydrotherapy pool as their own personal pool. They were racing through the pool on each others backs being more rambunctious than at the regular pool. There was a hot tea station in the spa with no water. There was no ice water in the spa, the steam room didn’t work. There was no shower gel in the showers, just empty bottles where guests had tried to drain the last bit out. The things this resort is cutting back on are hygienic and it won’t be long before someone gets sick or catches something. The entertainment was great each night. The dance team was fun to watch. the beach is beautiful but they don’t clean it (i.e., shrimp from prior nights candlelight dinner still on the beach the next day). They run out of food. The power goes out consistently. Just don’t come here. Very disappointing.

We had an incredible time during our stay! The service from the resort staff was wonderful, especially from our butlers (Michelle & Mel). The two of them made us feel at home from the minute we stepped foot onto the property and made sure we were taken care of and comfortable until we left! They truly made our trip.We planned a very last-minute, intimate, surprise vow renewal for my parents during our stay. With the tight deadline and upholding the element of surprise, Taneek in the wedding department undoubtedly saved the day. She was incredibly throughout and responsive throughout the entire process. The ceremony was beautiful and everything we could've ever imagined even down to the smallest details, thanks to her!Between the pool food truck options to all of the various dinner spots, the food was fantastic. Incredible clean and well-kept across the board within the rooms, pool, and beach. We can't wait to come back to visit Royalton Negril as well as look into some of the other Royalton resorts across the globe!

Definitely not a luxury 5 star hotel unfortunately. The reception and communal areas are fine but the room buildings blocks and the room themselves are looking old, tired and in need of repair maintenance. There are not enough sunbeds around the pool area and only one umbrella for every 6 beds. Space is not an issue so there really is no excuse.Whilst there are more beds on the beach , there is no entertainment on the beach and no food or drink offering. Hence the pool area being the most popular. It's not on the seven mile beach as advertised. Its in quite a remote area and there is very little within walking distance outside of the resort. The best thing about the hotel is the entertainment team and some of its staff.Do not book with Royalton Excursions. They refuse to refund money when the weather prevents activities/ trips being carried out as advertised.

Stephanie Roberts — Google review

Where to start you have a few genuine staff that will try there best to make your stay a pleasure but they can only do so much. This is not for those whom enjoy true luxury. What a beautiful beach to not even clean the seaweeds at the shoreline. Towels for pool and beach are hard to get. Food is OK. Our balcony floor tiles were buckling. The electronic key panel to access the room was missing the cover. The atmosphere is just not worth the money. If you want to charge a certain amount of money per night you should spend the money to make the guest experience reflect. Today I was in the teen room with my kids and the Vibes staff member came in not even the manners to say good morning. I could go on and on about what needs to be taken care of however just know I would not recommend you spend your money for a luxurious experience that is not being delivered. We will never return to a Royalton property again. Nothing feels or felt Royal about the experience and the Diamond club no benefits. Apart from access to a lounge and some supposedly Diamond club member sections it's truly not worth it.

Dayne Patterson — Google review

The rooms are amazing, esthetically, but don't look too deep, the flaws will present themselves. Comfortable though. Fun to be there. Bring lots of cash for tipping. Excursions cost extra. Food is good at most of the restaurants. The buffet is so big and tasty, especially if you are a foodie.

We stayed at Royalton Negril for 10 days in late November, and by far it has been our most memorable all inclusive vacation yet. We attribute this to the management team, as well as the vibe team as a really did make sure our needs were met. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well maintained with options for relaxing And leisure stay. The food selection was ample, fresh and authentic. The bar service, cleaning services were exceptional, with great attentiveness to guests needs. We would definitely recommend this trip to anybody looking for an amazing trip, and will be booking our next vacation in February. Thank you Royalton Negril!!

The Royalton Negril is a pretty nice experience.Pros:- Very friendly staff- GOOD FOOD… GOOD FOOD… GOOD FOOD- Good entertainment- Family friendly- Property is clean- Bellman Alliane was AMAZING. He was attentive and anticipated things we would need. He was very pleasant and informative each time we saw him on the property. That alone would encourage my decision to return.Cons:🚨Please try not to arrive at Airport after 1pm🚨Commute to Royalton Negril is about 90 minutes from airport. Can easily turn into 3 hours in traffic during the work week.- Luxury rooms with Ocean View can be deceptive depending on the building you’re in.- Halls and common areas are visibly a little dated.- Beach area has signs that seats cannot be reserved, but NO ONE monitors. People come out and block off seats for hours before returning.- Diamond Club guests take precedence- If you do not book directly through the hotel or Marriott, the hotel will not honor all amenities travel companies listed

This place was kept up nicely. They only had 1 adult pool with limited seating. At 7am, there were chairs being reserved with towels even though the pool rules state that it's not allowed. Occasionally, the toilet in our room had a strong odor of sewage. The staff was great and the food wasn't bad.

Robert Grayson — Google review

Nice staff, most are very polite and helpful. Check-in took an hour, checkout took 20 minutes. Missed my taxi and had to pay 5x the original amount. Complimentary services were subpar at best.Room service: longer than 1-hour to deliverComplimentary services: throughout my 4-day stay, I requested a ride to the main beach for a wedding. Called one hour in advance, front desk confirmed and no one showed up.Drinks: have no alcohol or about 1% by volume, waste.Food: Okay at best.Staff: Could be better, hard time getting information from them, every answer is “check with the front desk”.Overall, for the cost to comfort and service, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I really enjoyed my stay at this resort. We stayed in the Diamond Club, this is a very family oriented resort. Drinks were a hit or miss but you can tell them to make a better drink. Our rooms were clean and housekeeping came everyday. The pools were clean, the food at Marche was my favorite and the vibe Team and photographers did a great job making sure everyone had a good time! I spent all my money on pictures and souvenirs and everything was great. I will be coming back!

I’ll keep this short and to the point. 1. Food-disgusting. The food is always cold and tasteless and at times I felt like I was eating plastic. My advice-stick to breakfast only and the omelette bar so you can actually see them cooking. 2. The grounds were extremely run down and the hotel needs to be refurbished. We stayed in the Diamond club and there was NOTHING Diamond about it. They supposedly give you a “butler” but they are very unhelpful UNLESS you are throwing out extra cash and then they hound you on your last day for a “tip.”They even ask you to leave the money in the safe and give them the combination. The only thing Diamond about the Diamond club is the beach-it was beautiful. 3. The night life entertainment was good…fun for families and couples. 4. Hospitality-AWFUL!! We had to walk almost a mile to the front to be picked up with luggage on our last day. No butlers to help, no tram service, despite asking the “butlers” who told us we had to arrange things on our own. NOTHING!! Overall, this hotel was really bad! I would NOT recommend! Do NOT stay here!

Simone Escalante — Google review

If you are looking for excellent drinks, a clean beach, and a beautiful pool book the Diamond Club at this resort. The Diamond Club beach is beautiful and clean. The Diamond Club pool is clean and the bartenders at the swim up are excellent. If you are coming to Negril for good food and 5 star service this is not the resort for you. Definitely overpriced. Definitely not 5 star. Non Diamond Club areas not as well maintained.

Rebecca Guinan — Google review

Great experience in this all inclusive diamond club upgrade. I will say some butlers were more attentive than others and if you preselect your room, understand that the swim out pool is on the ground floor, not the 1st floor. The website where I preselected my room did not mention there was a ground floor. The photos looked like the swim out pool was on 1st floor.

My husband and I came out to celebrate our honeymoon and we were treated fantastic! Everyone was very attentive and friendly. Our room was very clean and also stocked daily. It was decorated which I loved! The food was also good! We did the culinary experience which was definitely worth it!Definitely looking forward to returning!

We enjoyed our stay in the presidential suite. Although we didn't spend much time there, our room was well kept. We ate at Marche', Zen, and Calypso. I have no complaints about any of them the food was wonderful in all locations. The highlight of our dining experience was the Culinary Experience. Chef Kimberly and her team (including Cassandra) gave us a truly awesome experience. Overall, we enjoyed the entertainment, food, and the entire experience at the Royalton Negril.

Would never stay at this hotel again. It was awful. First, the resort was extremely expensive and the service was beyond poor. My husband and I booked the King Room, when we arrived our room had been given away. We were then placed in a double room with a broken tub and a dirty bathroom. Next, The staff wasn't pleasant. None one greeted us around the resort. No "Good morning" 'how are you" Nothing! Ive never been to a resort where the staff was unpleasant and ignored their guests. I was in disbelief. Most Importantly, We went for a wedding and two of the guests were complaining about bugs in their rooms and in their luggage. Thankfully we didn't personally experience this! Lastly, During breakfast the birds were attacking people and their plates of food while eating on the outside patio and the staff would walk by as if they didn't see what was happening! I can not believe this hotel considers themselves to be luxury. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The pictures are beautiful, but before booking please read other reviews on Expedia and booking. I only stayed here because I was apart of wedding party. I don't even have time to discuss how the bride was treated. She did her own personal review, but it wasn't well. Guys make sure you do your research before booking your stay here!

Tyesha Campbell — Google review

Although we paid extra to book an upscale “Junior Suite With An Ocean View” the room we were provided had a view of the beach and bay, almost no balcony and was directly in front of the stage & bar which had music & noise until 1:00am every day. Not pleasant. Front desk staff seemed rather curt to have us move along quickly when we checked in. Staff at the bars, towel stands and many of the restaurants were exceptional otherwise I would have given a 1 star rating. Fully investigate the room offerings before you book so that you do not have the same poor experiences my Wife & I had.

I just recently came home from an amazing group trip of friends and families. We had 23 adults & 10 kids ranging from 2- 13 years old.The Royalton did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.Upon arrival we were handed a fruity drink and our luggage was taken to our rooms. Love that the room card is your bracelets. Our 6 year old felt so cool with opening the door access. Vibe team had us playing games and doing activities in the pool and on the beach. Food was top notch! Star of the show being the food truck by the pool and the Jerk Hut. Both open from 12-3:30 I believe. I eat lunch everyday out by the pool or beach. Nachos, Jamaican patty’s-chicken, soy, beef. Burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches. Jerk Hut had beans and rice, variety of different meats spiced with Jerk. My favourite was the jerk sausage, as I do not like meat on a bone and the chicken has bone in.The buffet was delicious and never the same. The restaurants were good but understaffed. Could have been the time of year. End of Jan. But long waits for then only 2-3 tables seated and 2-3 staff for the whole restaurant. Once seated and served the food was delicious, just took a few hours on a few nights. We traveled with the kids and friends and the hotel was amazing in catering to the family vibe. Kid zone was an awesome play are the kids could go to during the day. You could also rent the nanny service for a special date night or got a break for mom and dad. Our 2.4 yr was to young but my eldest was 6.5 and had a blast. They made bracelets one day. Glitter art the next. They laminated it for the kids to be able to take home as a memory. The beach was amazing on this resort, super clean no sea weed. Beautiful water and views. You don’t see that amazing sunset like Negril 7 mile beach side my husband said.

MOLD ON BUFFETT FOOD!!First, the good stuff. The resort and location are beautiful. The workers are very nice. However, our first night, we ordered our dinner. Nearly an hour later, they told us they didn't have what we ordered and had to start all over again. After that experience, we decided to go with the buffet to save time so we could be outside more. However, during breakfast one day, my husband was eating French toast and I saw mold inside. It was too late, he ate a lot by that point. We contacted customer service so they could improve the matter. They tried to get us to sign a contract that we would not bring this up, pubically. Shame on them. One reason that I decided to leave this review was because of that.

One of the best resorts I've gone to. The food is unreal, and the amount of options are great. The easy kids buffet was a hit and the room service was relatively quick. The beach was outstanding and the infinity pool was very cool. The kids area could definitely use a touch up, but our kids enjoyed it even with it only fully working for a couple days. The kids club is also extremely handy- our kids spent time there everyday. They loved the activities. The snorkeling is the biggest plus. Amazing sights right off the hotel beach.

One of the best vacations I've ever had. The location was great! We took several excursions. All the staff from excursions to the hotel were kind and friendly. The bar staff was kinda crabby but once you drink enough you didn't notice it.I went with my husband and 18 year old son. My son was able to drink alcohol and gamble legally so he thought that was cool.

Lynn Orbin — Google review

The customer service is amazing. There are however, though a few workers that might need to do some training. I recall asking about a meal and the staff member said seafood. Now I'm allergic to shellfish. What if I had a plate. Seafood can mean anything. But overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is truly amazing. Keep up the good work.
